Cranberry Chutney

Note: My mom's recipe that she got from a friend. I've been using it as a base for any cranberry sauce I make, so thought I should add my foundation recipe.


Ingredients:

1 20oz can Pineapple Tidbits

2 cups White Sugar 1 lb Fresh Cranberries 1 cup Raisins

½ teaspoon Cinnamon

½ teaspoon Ground Ginger

¼ teaspoon Table Salt

¼ teaspoon Allspice (optional)

½ cup chopped Walnuts (optional)


Directions:

Combine the juice from the pineapple, sugar, cranberries, raisins, spices, and salt in a medium sauce pan


Cook to a boil


Lower the heat and simmer for 25 minutes


Remove from heat and stir in pineapple and nuts


Can serve warm or cooled
